Sew a breezy summer linen tunic that fits you and enhance it with a personal design by dyeing it in a natural indigo vat. You can choose a button-down shirt style or pullover style. We’ll learn to make a natural indigo vat without worrying about toxicity or cost of heavy chemicals. This vat uses fruit residue in a natural chemical reduction to produce a quick, reliable, long-lasting indigo blue. We'll explore simple, traditional Japanese Shibori resist techniques that produce a variety of surface designs to determine garment-appropriate patterns. Basic pattern fitting and construction will ensure a fabulous fit!
